I love crafting! I enjoy cross-stitching, but as of late, I have been interested in crocheting. I just crocheted my first blanket!

One of the goals I have been working on since starting at Cornerstone is learning American Sign Language (ASL). It started when I got my first client, who communicated through sign. I loved it so much I took a class about sign language. Now, I can hold a conversation with someone using ASL, and it only makes me want to learn more.

The children at Cornerstone inspire me to come in and work as hard as I can to ensure they receive the best therapy possible. Seeing them learn new things and one day graduate is so inspirational.

Selena Cummings

Since coming to Cornerstone, I have started to pursue my master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. With this degree, I hope to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst one day!

My favorite thing about working with children with autism is being able to get to know so many unique individuals. I love helping them learn to express their needs and show their personalities.

I have so many fond memories from my time at Cornerstone. One of the most memorable was seeing my first ever client wave to their mother independently for the first time.

Rachel Rayman

In my life, I am inspired by the kids of Cornerstone as well as my family. The kids inspire me to keep going each day, and my family inspires me to be the absolute best I can be.

I love seeing the growth in each of the clients at Cornerstone. I also enjoy how creative, resilient, and funny the children are. The kids are my favorite part of Cornerstone Autism Center.

My favorite moment since starting work here is when my first client graduated!

September Parent Trainings

Addressing Food Aversion

All of us have certain preferences when it comes to food.  For those with ASD, intense levels of aversion or preference may limit their diet.  During our next parent training, we’ll talk about addressing what’s important, how to expand our child’s diet, and different resources that can be beneficial through that process.
