Our Avon Center…One Year Later

One year ago, Cornerstone Autism Center opened our Avon location, and what a year it has been!

Opening a new facility during a pandemic certainly had its challenges, but with hope and tenacity we succeeded in bringing quality ABA Therapy to families on the west side of Indianapolis.

The key to our success was a well-designed plan, and a team of individuals that executed the plan to bring the vision to completion. The bones of the building were reimagined by skilled contractors to suit the needs of the staff and children who would occupy the space. Then the fun part—the creativity that went into making it into a warm, kid-friendly environment. With vividly painted walls, whimsical murals and loads of games and toys, the space was designed to spark imagination and make learning fun! Our clients are engaged, and the families and staff appreciate the thought and care that has gone into making the space so inviting. I mean, how could you not like playing a game in the Pirate Room or doing a puzzle in a room with a life-size ocean mural?

Most rewarding is to witness a space transformed from empty rooms to ones filled with giggles and the chatter of little voices. To know that within those walls so much learning is happening, and that lives are being changed every day. That is the best part. That is why we do what we do, despite the challenges we face.

We choose to serve these children, and to do so with as much heart and fun-loving spirit as we can!

So Happy Anniversary Avon Center! Congratulations on all that you have achieved and thank you for your dedication to the families we serve!
