What dreams or goals have you accomplished since coming to Cornerstone?
When I started at Cornerstone, I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. After spending nearly a year with these kids, it’s become clear to me that this is where I want to build my career. The kids are all so special and unique in their own ways, and I love forming bonds and learning everything I can from working with them. My dream would be to continue my journey here and be the best therapist I can be every day.
What’s your favorite thing about working with children with autism?
My favorite part of working with the kids is watching them grow and develop. It’s so cool seeing where they start out and gradually teaching them new skills and functional communication so that they can apply those abilities in their daily lives.
What’s your favorite memory so far here at Cornerstone?
My favorite memory that I’ve made at Cornerstone would have to be when a client of mine finally said the word “up.” It sounds like such a small moment, but after working on that program for months, it was so rewarding and exciting to hear them clearly say “up” for the first time. Now, this client uses the word in everyday communication, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Zoey Has Graduated!
The wonderful and sweet Zoey can officially call herself a Cornerstone graduate! As we got to know Zoey, we fell in love with her kind demeanor and tender heart. While at Cornerstone, Zoey became more social and started interacting with her therapists and peers more independently than ever. We wish her and her family all the best and can’t wait to hear how she thrives in school! Good luck, Zoey!
