Our largest foundation fundraiser of the year, the Make It Happen David Ide Memorial Run, will take place on September 19, 2015 at Cornerstone Autism Center on 3482 McClure Avenue, West Lafayette, IN. The event was created to remember co-founder David Ide and his legacy, spread autism awareness and raise funds for the foundation that will impact children with autism in the community.
The event itself promotes being active, while also creating an autism-friendly environment for children on the spectrum and their families. The event has a 5k, 10k and 1-mile walk/run that you can register for at www.getmeregistered.com/makeithappen. There will also be a Zumba warm up and a Pound cool down provided by Parkwest Fitness. After the race, there will be a Piloxing demonstration, a bounce house for the kids, a firetruck and Prompt Ambulance. There will also be local vendors including the Columbian Park Zoo, Fleet Feet, My Gym and Jimmy Johns. We will be grilling hot dogs from Dog ‘n Suds, so you can come to the event with stomachs empty and hearts ready to have fun!
You can find more information on our registration site, or follow our facebook page.
Fleet Feet Sports West Lafayette will host packet pick-up on Friday, September 18 this year. You can also register or pick up your packet between 8 and 8:40 a.m. the day of the event at Cornerstone Autism Center.
