Medical Problems in Autism: what you can do for your child

Decoding Your Picky Eater

Ever wonder why your child is so picky about food?  This presentation explores several of the physiological reasons that your child may be self-limiting food selections.  Practical ideas for improving food choices will be provided.

Parent Panel: Hope and Recovery

The moms on our Parent Panel are all members of the online support group Indiana Biomedical Kids. Each has a different story to share about her child, to give you hope that kids with autism can improve through Biomedical Interventions. They will also share tips for getting started, if this is brand new to you, and how to make it all work on a budget.

Autism and Osteopathy:  Tensegrity, Fractal Physiology, Sequencing, and the Key Lesion

Osteopathy is a branch of medical practice that emphasizes the treatment of medical disorders through the manipulation and massage of the bones, joints, and muscles. Autism is a whole body disorder which is often characterized by mental health symptoms, but at the core it is a whole body disorder. This presentation brings forth a discipline involving addressing many areas of the body for the greater good of its many disrupted systems. As we see “Mechanical loads anywhere in the body can affect many tissues and cells because they are physically interconnected.”

PANDAS & PANS: Treating the Underlying Causes of the Symptoms

This session will define PANDAS, PANS and PITANDS. Dr. DeMio will then discuss Lyme disease and associated infections, and their connection to PANDAS, effects these have on the immune system, and medical care, including testing, treatments and diets.

How to Develop a Custom Nutrient Program Using Nutrigenomics

Practical ways to customize your child’s developing Biomedical Nutrient Program and Treatments including:  ways to involve your MAPS or other biomedical doctor, suggestions concerning testing, questions you may want to ask your clinician, how to maximize your time and save money, how to use community to help further your goals for your own child, and how to start looking at genetic mutations as a way to bypass blocks in metabolic pathways and to help open up to healing.
