Meet Sarah, one of our newest Employee Spotlights! Since joining Cornerstone, Sarah has discovered a passion for ABA and is working toward an exciting future in the field. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, creating art, and spending time with friends (and her cats, Jeramy and Jason Derulo!). Read on to learn more about Sarah and her favorite moments at Cornerstone!
What dreams or goals have you accomplished since coming to Cornerstone? Or what are some dreams/goals that you’re currently working on?
“Cornerstone helped me to realize my passion for ABA and inspired me to apply for my Masters! I am hoping to sit for the BCBA exam in 2027.”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“I love to read! Right now, I am re-reading Lord of the Rings! I also like to work on personal art projects, hang out with my friends, and love on my cats (Jeramy and Jason Derulo).”
Who (or what) inspires you?
“I am inspired when I see beauty in something mundane. Sometimes, I see the rainbow in an oil slick on the road and am reminded that everything has worth, and everyone has value.”
What’s your favorite thing about working with children with autism or about working at Cornerstone?
“I love laughing with my clients and playing! Adults don’t get enough opportunities to genuinely play, and it’s definitely my favorite part of the job!”
What’s your favorite memory so far at Cornerstone?
“I got to work with a former client of mine, and about every 5 minutes during lunch, he would just look at me and say, “Hey,” haha! That and making a giant googly eye.”
