Cornerstone Autism Center
Our Story
In 2009, parents Debbie and David Ide dreamed of creating Cornerstone as a solution to a problem. They wanted a special place for their son with autism, a program that would offer high-quality ABA therapy, and support families like theirs by attracting dedicated clinical talent.
These three simple tenets shaped the company’s mission statement: “Maximize those who struggle, embrace those who love, and fulfill those who serve.” Adhering to these principles has guided Cornerstone’s growth and success over the years.
Starting from humble beginnings, Cornerstone was founded by parents seeking excellent care for their child. This idea has since flourished, expanding to serve multiple communities, and transforming the lives of children and their families in Indiana.
Cornerstone Autism Center
Our vision
1
Maximize Those Who Struggle
Children with autism want to express themselves, interact with the world, and enjoy life. At Cornerstone, we provide your child with the skills and support they need to achieve these goals.
2
Embrace Those Who Love
Our vision is to partner with parents, ensuring that you feel confident and supported as you navigate your child’s development.
3
Fulfill Those Who Serve
To maximize your child's potential, we prioritize supporting our dedicated therapists and staff who tirelessly serve this mission every day.
Our Mission
When parents Debbie and David Ide were unhappy with the options for their child with autism, they didn’t wait for someone else to create a solution—they decided to do it themselves. They recognized early on that for kids to reach their potential, parents and caregivers need empowerment, and staff need to feel respected and appreciated. Focusing on these three pillars has led to a balanced and supportive environment for children, parents, and therapists alike.

When we first found Cornerstone, we were lost and so confused on what to do for our son. Within just a few short weeks, we felt so much hope! When we first started, Brady did not speak. Just a few year’s later, he gave a graduation speech! I don’t know where we would be now without Cornerstone.
