Meet Morgan, our September employee spotlight feature! Morgan has grown confident at Cornerstone, learning to support her clients through challenges and joys. Inspired by her support system, she aims to share that compassion with others. A highlight for her was when a client spontaneously requested headphones on their AAC device after months of teaching—a rewarding milestone in her work. What dreams and goals have you accomplished since coming to Cornerstone? Or what are some dreams/goals that you’re currently working on?

“I have learned to be there for my clients both in hard times and when having fun. It’s taken a lot of growth and finding confidence!”

What do you like to do in your free time?

“I like to doodle, read, and hang out outside. I am currently in search of the perfect hammock. :)”

Who (or what) inspires you?

“My support system has inspired me to share the same compassion, care, and room for growth with others.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with children with autism or about working at Cornerstone?

“I love hearing the things they say! Between the funny comments and the first independent mands – I love it all!”

What’s your favorite memory so far at Cornerstone?

“After months of teaching one of my first clients to ask for their headphones on their AAC, I got a spontaneous man for headphones on our last day together!! Another memory is, on my last day with a client before they parted ways with Cornerstone, we were quietly walking back to class, and I got a [very quick] ‘Thank you, Morgan’ It felt so big and sincere.”
