Our August employee spotlight features Angel Berrier! Angel finds working with children with autism at Cornerstone deeply rewarding, especially as she watches them grow and thrive in our supportive environment. She cherishes each child’s unique personality and the joy they bring to the center. Keep reading to discover her favorite memory from her time at Cornerstone and what makes her experience so special.

What do you like to do in your free time?

“In my free time, I enjoy sitting outside on my little porch, reading a good book, or painting pictures. I also enjoy being outside doing outdoor activities such as kayaking, swimming, or walking.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with children with autism or about working at Cornerstone?

“My Favorite thing about working with children with autism is how quickly they grow in such a short amount of time. All the children I have had the pleasure to work with have amazing personalities and are rays of sunshine; Cornerstone is the perfect place for the children to thrive in such a warm and loving environment.”

What’s your favorite memory so far at Cornerstone?

“I have so many great memories from working at Cornerstone, from playing a game of chase with the younger kids to playing board games and watching the kids light up when they beat the game. My best, most recent memory is dancing with a certain kiddo while he shows me his dance moves.”
