The CDC reported that approximately 1 in 54 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), according to 2016 data. Yet, autism research receives less than 5 percent of the funding made available to many less prevalent childhood diseases. The Cornerstone Autism Foundation aims to address that gap and directly assist children, families and caregivers who struggle with autism right here in our home state.
How We Help
Founded in December 2011, the Foundation provides grants and sponsorships to schools and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, as well as charitable fundraising events that directly serve and benefit children of autism here in Indiana. More information can be found by visiting the Foundation website.
Making an Impact
Our fundraising efforts have benefitted many organizations that serve children on the spectrum. We have supported several autism walks and support groups, helped build a sensory room, sponsored concert events, donated iPads and contributed to the building of a Splash Pad that is accessible to children of all abilities—just a few of the projects that the Foundation has been proud to sponsor.
