Frequently Asked Questions > Diagnostics > What is the assessment process at Cornerstone Autism Diagnostics?
1) Cornerstone Autism Diagnostics’ multidisciplinary assessment team begins with a detailed review of your child’s development.
2) Your child then visits our inviting facilities for a half-day session of multidisciplinary, autism-specific diagnostics.
3) After the team reviews its findings, an independent clinical psychologist — who isn’t employed by Cornerstone — signs off on a diagnosis to confirm or rule out autism.
4) You will be provided a thorough, written report of our findings and consultation during which you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions of our team. If an autism diagnosis is ruled out, other possible results are discussed with you. If an autism diagnosis is made, you’ll receive personalized therapy recommendations. These can range from utilizing community resources to options for pursuing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, which is available at Cornerstone Autism Center.
